About This Place

Located just steps away from the magic of Disneyland at 1640 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, Tony Roma's stands as a hallmark of American barbecue, seafood, and steakhouse dining since 1972. This iconic restaurant is celebrated far and wide as the ultimate “Place for Ribs,” and once you taste their signature Baby Back Ribs, it’s easy to understand why. The ribs are the stuff of legend—tender, smoky, and irresistibly fall-off-the-bone, each bite bursting with a perfectly balanced blend of smoky sweetness from their Original BBQ Sauce.

The menu at Tony Roma’s offers a rich variety that delights every appetite. From the World-Famous Onion Loaf, a crispy, golden appetizer that beckons you to share, to the warmth of their soft bread rolls served with creamy butter, every detail has been thoughtfully crafted. Seafood lovers will savor the Grilled Shrimp Scampi Pasta, perfectly paired with garlic and herbs, while steak aficionados will find pure pleasure in the Filet Medallions & Baby Back Combo, where tender, juicy medallions crowned with cabernet demiglace meet the signature ribs in a harmonious marriage of flavors. The 12 oz. Sizzling Ribeye with grilled onions is another standout, delivering robust, smoky char from the open flame grilling that intensifies every bite.

Diners rave about their appetizers like the crispy Potato Skins and Wood Grilled Jalapeño Poppers that provide a satisfying kick to start the meal. For those craving classic pub fare, the Fish and Chips and Buffalo Chicken Wings hit just the right notes with their comforting familiarity and bold flavors.

Tony Roma's doesn’t just serve meals; it creates an atmosphere infused with warmth and genuine hospitality. Families and friends appreciate the welcoming vibe, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a fun-packed day at Disneyland. Reviewers frequently mention the attentive, friendly service and the convenience of the location—right across the street from the park, making it a prime choice for a relaxing and satisfying meal. Michele Leocadio’s glowing recommendation of the weekday special—a half slab of ribs with fries and coleslaw—speaks volumes about the restaurant’s unbeatable value and quality.

While most guests are enchanted by Tony Roma’s signature dishes, some note that experiences can vary slightly, reminding us that palates differ, with some finding the medium-rare sirloin less juicy and ribs occasionally a touch dry. Yet, these moments are far outweighed by the glowing feedback on favorites like the onion loaf, coleslaw, and expertly grilled steaks. It’s clear that Tony Roma’s remains a beloved destination for rib enthusiasts and steak lovers alike, offering not just food but memorable dining experiences steeped in tradition and passion.

To round out your meal, don’t miss the indulgent Strawberry New York Cheesecake—a sweet, velvety finish that perfectly complements the rustic richness of the main courses. Whether you’re craving an iconic American barbecue feast, succulent seafood, or a perfectly grilled steak, Tony Roma’s Anaheim delivers with a perfect blend of hearty flavors, all-natural premium ingredients, and a welcoming ambiance that invites you to linger.

RIGHT ACROSS from DISNEYLAND!! Tony Roma’s — the world-famous “Place for Ribs” since 1972!! These Baby Back Ribs are insane — tender, smoky, and fall-off-the-bone good! Weekday Special (Tues–Fri): Half Slab + Fries + Coleslaw for just $19.99!! Such a steal! Start with their crispy Onion Loaf, grab some fluffy, soft bread (upon request) then dig into the 12 oz Sizzling Ribeye with grilled onions, portobello mushrooms, a baked potato and asparagus. The steak could have been cooked better, a little too rare. Their Steakhouse Burger that comes with bacon and fries. Don’t skip dessert — the Colossal Cheesecake with strawberry sauce is a MUST! Steps from Downtown Disney — perfect for a pre- or post-park feast!! It can get quite noisy.

It was average. The medium rare Sirlion steak was not juicy as we like. Like the artichoke and potatoes skin. The ribs was ok.

Ribs were a little dry. The fried shrimp were solid. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes were good. Service was good. Great location a block away from the hotel.

Haven’t had Tony Roma’s for years since I moved to the east. It’s so nice to get a chance to try it again with family. Everything tasted great, except the fries. I was glad that my mom enjoyed the onion loaf a lot and I loved the coleslaw as always. Service was fine.

Here’s a strong five‑star style review for Tony Roma’s – Anaheim (near Disneyland Resort): ⸻ From start to finish, our meal at Tony Roma’s was nothing short of outstanding. The location couldn’t be more convenient—just across the street from Disneyland—and that made it the perfect dining stop after a busy park day. The moment we walked in we were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and the service was attentive throughout our visit. We chose the full rack of baby back ribs, and they were simply phenomenal—tender, richly flavored, and falling off the bone in the best way. The sides and accompaniments were solid. One member of our party ordered a steak‑and‑shrimp combo and said the steak was cooked exactly as requested, and the shrimp had a nice kick. We also appreciated that they were thoughtful about dietary needs—one guest in our group is gluten‑sensitive and the staff was ready with information and suggestions. The atmosphere hit the right note: comfortable and relaxed for a family and friends dinner but elevated enough to feel like a treat. The location being near Disneyland added a fun energy without making it feel overly touristy or rushed. We also noticed the valet and parking arrangements made things easier after a long day of walking. If I had to offer one minor suggestion, I’d say that the dessert list could use a little more flair or variety to match the excellence of the mains. But that’s truly a small nitpick in an otherwise fantastic experience. In short: Tony Roma’s in Anaheim delivered on all fronts—excellent food, friendly service, convenient location, and an atmosphere that enhanced our evening rather than detracted from it. If you’re visiting Disneyland and looking for a memorable sit‑down dinner to offset all the fast‑food and park snacks, this is absolutely a top choice. Highly recommended.

It’s was a rib and pasta for dinner night and ordered from this place. The dinners were delivered on time and hot. They were delivered in a sealed bag with utensils. After opening, the rib dinner coleslaw was packaged separate as not to get warm from the hot items. There were two stacks of ribs with fries. The pasta came with shrimp and was tasty with a little kick from the pepper flakes. The overall cost was about $60 including all the extra charges.

Tony Roma’s – Anaheim, CA ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nostalgic bite of Americana just steps from Disneyland! With only two Tony Roma’s left in California, this Anaheim gem keeps the legacy alive with their legendary baby back ribs and juicy ribeye steak. The ribs? Fall-off-the-bone perfection, glazed in that signature smoky-sweet sauce. The ribeye? Char-grilled and tender, with just the right amount of sizzle. Service was warm and welcoming, and the retro steakhouse vibe made it feel like a throwback to family dinners and road trip pit stops. Bonus points for the onion loaf starter—crispy, golden, and addictive. If you’re craving classic comfort with a side of nostalgia, Tony Roma’s is still holding it down.
